Logan Bryce Wood, age 26 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis with his family at his side.
Logan was born on September 3, 1999, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Tommy and Shawnda (Ferrell) Wood, who survive in Odin. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Nyla Wood; brothers, Colton Wood and wife Kenzi of Patoka, and their daughter, Lenny, Gavein Wood of Salem and his daughters, Eleanor and Elizabeth, and Riston Wood and wife Lacey of Salem, and their son, Briar; paternal grandmother, Linda Wood of Odin; maternal grandmother, Doris Ferrell of Salem; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dennis Wood, and maternal grandfather, Gary Ferrell. Logan worked as a carpenter and enjoyed being outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being around his family and friends. He was a loyal son, brother, father, grandson, uncle, and friend.
Funeral Services for Logan Bryce Wood will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, with Pastor Brian Mixon officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
