Salem Police say a 25-year-old Salem man was arrested on multiple offenses after a bike and then foot chase early Monday morning.

25-year-old Wyatt Dailey of East Church was treated at Salem Township Hospital for complaints of chest pain before being taken to the Marion County Jail.   He is being held pending a final decision on charges for an outstanding Marion County warrant, possession of under five grams of meth, obstructing justice, two counts of resisting arrest as well as numerous traffic citations.

Salem Police say the series of incidents began when they made a voluntary contact with Dailey in the 100 block of North Jefferson.   After allegedly giving a false name, he allegedly fled on his bike northbound on Jefferson and then on East Olive and North Hamilton before making his way back to the Starlight Mobile Home Park.  During an attempted traffic stop, Dailey allegedly got off the bike and ran on foot a short distance before being taken into custody.

The methamphetamine was residue reportedly found in a pipe in his possession.  The obstructing was for allegedly giving a false name.

The incident occurred at around three Monday morning.
