A 28-year-old Kinmundy man has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to felony domestic battery.
Tyler Davidson of West Moultrie Street has already pleaded guilty in Piatt Count Court to a separate felony domestic battery charge and was sentenced to three years in prison. The time on the two charges will run concurrently.
Davidson had been arrested on August 8th in Marion County after allegedly striking a family member on the head with his hand. Three other counts of domestic battery in connection with the same incident were dropped as part of the plea.
Once out of prison, Davidson will have to serve four years of mandatory supervised release.
As part of the plea, Davidson also had a two-year order of protection entered against him by the victim of the case.
