The Nashville Hornettes won the Highland Girls Tournament for the first time since 2004 and knocked off fellow AP #1 Breese Central 68-40. The defending state champs earned their 2nd win over the Lady Cougars this season and are still undefeated against teams in Illinois on the year. Nashville improves to 23-2. Samantha Brinkmann was named MVP, Summer Brinkmann was also on the 1st team and Claire Stiegman made 2nd team.
