The Salem Lady Wildcats will play for the Vandalia Mid-Winter championship after beating Wesclin in last night’s semifinal 40-36. Salem trailed 20-14 at the half, but came out and defended in the second half and started attacking the Wesclin zone. Jordan Kessler led Salem with 12, Marah Johnson added 11 and Katee Sellers finished with 8. The Lady Cats will take on top-seed Effingham at 2:30 Saturday in the finals.
