MTC: The MTC Tournament continues tonight. Top seed Waltonville is at home tonight in their opening round game against Grayville after they beat Sandoval in last night’s play-in game 64-60. Also tonight, Patoka/Odin will host Wayne City. Woodlawn hosts Cisne and Webber hosts Red Hill.
Nashville: Mater Dei opened the Nashville Invite with a big win over Marion 53-50. Gavin Peppenhorst continued his amazing senior season as he scored 30 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Makhi House had 19 for Marion and Cam Curry added 14 points and 14 rebounds.
The hosts beat Waterloo in the 2nd game 59-33.
WF: At West Frankfort tonight, Thompsonville takes on Crab Orchard followed by the hosts and Cairo. The tournament began last night with West Frankfort beating Thompsonville 41-38.
Okawville: More opening round games continue at the Okawville Tournament. Columbia takes on Madison followed by Gibault and Carlyle. Yesterday, Wesclin opened with a 67-35 win over Christ Our Rock and Okawville beat Highland 53-39.
Superman: The Superman Classic continues with first round games tonight with Murray Kentucky taking on Livingston Central followed by St Mary and Massac County. Last night, Goreville beat Century 66-37 and Union County over Vienna 60-44.
Litchfield: At the Litchfield Invite, Pana takes on the hosts in Simmons Gym followed by Greenville and Civic Memorial. At Panther Gym, Hillsboro plays Taylorville followed by Father McGivney against Nokomis.
The tournament opened yesterday with Triad over McGivney 56-36, Roxana 63-59 over Pana, Marquette beat Greenville 63-35 and Glenwood over Hillsboro 64-47.
Johnston City: At the Arrowhead Classic in Johnston City, DuQuoin takes on Anna followed by the hosts and Eldorado. Last night, Christopher beat Eldorado 67-55 and Anna over Johnston City 62-30.
Benton: Carterville and Mounds Meridian will open the night at Benton followed by Hamilton County and Vandalia. Last night, Benton opened with a 78-46 win over Sesser Valier and Flora beat Herrin 55-47.
Sparta: The Sparta Mid-Winter Classic opens tonight with Marissa and Murphysboro followed by Red Bud and Pinckneyville and then Sparta and Freeburg.
Macoupin County: The Macoupin County Tournament bracket play opened last night. Bunker Hill beat Southwestern 37-31, Carlinville 58-25 over Gillespie and North Mac beat Mt Olive 65-30.
Tonight Gillespie will take on Mt Olive in a consolation semifinal followed by the championships semis with Carlinville and North Mac at 6 and then Staunton and Bunker Hill at 7:30.
Carmi: At the Carmi White County Invitational, Fairfield beat Harrisburg in overtime 50-48, Mt Vernon, Indiana beat Carmi 58-41.
