The Salem Wildcats return to action tomorrow night with a trip to Flora as the first of three games this week. They will travel to Roxana on Friday before hosting Vandalia on Saturday.
Over the weekend, Mt Vernon improved to 12-2 and 2-1 in the South 7 with their 58-45 win over Cahokia. Eli Prost hit 6 three pointers on his way to 26. It was the first Ram to make that many three’s in a game since Colin McClure in 2022. Lucas Shelby Jr. added 17. Mt Vernon will have a showdown when they host Marion Friday night.
Nashville improved to 11-2 with a Saturday win over Okawville 57-47. Nashville had to overcome trailing by 8 after the opening quarter and by three at the half. Maddox Ritzel had 26 points, 10 of which were in the 4th quarter. Braylen Turner had 16 for the Rockets and Ayden Foley added 11.
Pinckneyville’s Ty Laur scorched the nets for 40 points in the Panthers 71-42 win over Gibault.
