The Salem Lady Wildcats will open up play this morning at 9am when they travel to the Benton Christmas Classic to take on the Mt Vernon Lady Rams. Salem is the 7th seed in the tournament. The winner will play tomorrow morning at 9am against 2nd seed Mt Carmel. The loser will play at noon tomorrow in the consolation bracket.
Following the Salem game at 10:30, 3rd seed Triad takes on Carlyle, 6th seed Harrisburg will play Mt Zion at noon. At 1:30 8th seed Vienna will play Hamilton County with the winner getting top-seed Civic Memorial. 4th seed Benton will play at 3pm against Herrin and the final first round game will be at 4:30 with 5th seed Carbondale playing Olney.
