Franklin Park won the Battle of Salem when they defeated Selmaville in middle school basketball 50-13. Kenna Benjamin had 18 in the win and Breana Pennypacker added 9. Salem will travel to Carlyle on Monday.
The Centralia Tigerettes won their first game of the season as Emmonie Baker scored 27 in the 39-28 victory at New Horizon as the Lady Crusaders celebrated 8th grade night. Abby Westman had 12 for New Horizon.
