A 39-year-old Central City woman has been charged in Marion County Court on Tuesday with six counts of aggravated battery.
Leann Harding of Richmond Heights Mobile Home Park is accused of striking three police officers and three EMTs on Monday night.
Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says police and EMTs were initially called to the 400 block of North Cherry where a female was found lying unconcious in the ditch. As Harding was being treated, she allegedly became angry and kicked the paramedics and EMTs. She then allegedly fought with police officers on the scene and later at the holding cell at the Centralia Police Department.
Eventually, Harding was taken to the Marion County Jail where she is now awaiting a first appearance in court on Tuesday afternoon.
