The IHSA state football finals were held for 1a through 4a at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State.
Lena Winslow won their 7th state title with a 58-13 win over Brown County in 1a. Wilmington won the 2a title beating Maroa Forsyth 42-6. The 3a finals was a shootout where Byron out gunned Tolono Unity 56-50 and Lombard Montini won the 4a title beating Rochester 47-33.
Due to the bad weather forecasted for today in the central part of the state, the IHSA has postponed their 5a through 8a title games. The 5a game between St Francis and Providence Catholic will be held at 3pm on Tuesday with the 6a game between East St Louis and Fenwick to be played at 6pm.
The 7a game between Brother Rice and St Rita and the 8a title game with Mount Carmel and Oswego will be played either Wednesday or Thursday.
