The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for northeast Missouri and west central Illinois that includes parts of the St. Louis metro area for Friday night into Saturday evening.
Accumulating snow is now expected across much of the area, with the heaviest snow over the watch area, particularly on Saturday morning. South Central Illinois is expected to receive three to five inches of snow.
