The Breese Central Cougars have broken their glass ceiling and advanced to the state semifinals with an impressive road win over Cahokia 36-12. Breese will now travel to perennial powerhouse Rochester this weekend for their 4a semifinal.

Vandalia lost their 3a quarterfinal at St Joseph Ogden 38-24.
