The IHSA volleyball Super Sectionals were last night. In 1a, NCOE beat Okawville to win the Wayne City title and will advance to CEFCU Arena in Normal this weekend and open the 1a Final Four with a match against Stockton. Windsor/Stew-Stras lost their title match at Heyworth to Cissna Park. They advance to take on Tremont in their state semifinal.
In 2a, Carmi White County lost their Super Sectional at Shelbyville to Bloomington Central Catholic but top ranked Columbia improved to 36-1 with their straight sets win over Rochester. The Lady Eagles will play Rockford Christian in their state semifinal with BCC and Port Byron Riverdale in the other.
2 time defending state champ Mater Dei will not 3-peat as they dropped their Super Sectional matchup at Chatham Glenwood to Normal University. Normal will play Prairie Ridge in one semifinal with Providence Catholic and Nazareth Academy in the other.
The 4a final four will see Lockport Township taking on Lisle Benet Academy and Palatine Fremd takes on Marist.
