New Horizon beat Wayne City 58-36 to win the Rome Tournament. Hunter Malekovic led the Crusaders with 26, Asher Veller added 12 and Collyn Finkbone 8. Malekovic was named to the All Tournament First Team along with Raccoon’s John Organ. Veller was on the Second Team. New Horizon improves to 7-1 on the season.
NWIGP won their home opener beating Field 50-46. Levi Newcomb scored 33 in the victory and Jazmyne Chambers added 6 along with Konstance Martin. The JV came up short 28-19.
South Central picked up a 35-31 win over Mulberry Grove. The JV also won 43-27.
