The Blue Angels and Blue Devils finished up the 2025 season at the NJCAA National Championships on Saturday November 8th. The meet was hosted by Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The meet included all 3 divisions of the NJCAA cross country with well over 100 programs represented from all over the country.
The Blue Devils and Angels are in D2 which is by far the largest, with 380 racers in the men’s 8K and 340 in women’s 5K led to the largest field ever.
The weather decided to play a factor into the event as over 3 inches of snow covered the course during the over 7 hour event. The D 2 races were the last of the day, so the course was a combination of snow, slush, and mud.
The Blue Devils as a team finished 31st in the nation and were led by Caidien Beer, next in line was Brady Marshall, followed closely by Oliver Lee. Andrew Latham was number 4 for KC, followed by Jack Walters, Blake Heimann, and Branson Pappas.
The Blue Angels placed 38th as a team and were led by Rylee Brammeier followed by Gracie Morgan, Kyndall Sturgeon, and Ryann Becker. The gap between the 4 was 20 seconds. The fifth counter was Ivy Donoho, followed by Alli Lammers and Lucy Walters. Sophomores Ivy Donoho, Branson Pappas of Salem, Kyndall Sturgeon of Patoka, Ryann Becker of Breese, Jack Walters of Freeburg, and Andrew Latham of Mascoutah all laced up their racers for the last time for the KC cross country program.
