Waves of showers and thunderstorms are expected through the overnight hours tonight. A few of these storms may be strong to severe between 12 and 6 PM, mainly in southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois. Damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall are the main threats, though a brief/weak tornado or two is possible.
