Highland was the host for the boys 2a Sectional where St Anthony and Highland both shot 298’s and advanced along with Alton Marquette who tied with Althoff at 306 but won on a playoff. Failing to advance were Mater Dei who tied with Mt Vernon for 5th with a 312, Olney was 10th.
Althoff’s Carson Tribout shot 66 for medalist. Advancing as individuals were Olney’s Reese Glover who shot 72, Mt Vernon’s Xander Ashby shot 72 and Mater Dei’s Owen Musenbrock and Bryce Toennies were the final advancers both shooting 74.
In the 1a TTown Sectional, Red Bud, the host Shoes and Father McGivney advance. Nashville was 9th as a team. It was Red Bud’s first ever Sectional golf title. TTown’s Coen Pennington shot 67 to take medalist honors. Sandoval’s Beau Chapman failed to advance shooting 85 Waltonville’s Brendan Klingler added 79 and Kyle Cooper 83 with Vandalia’s Jack Lewis shooting 88 and Noah Hatcher of Flora 95.
