Donnie Wayne Hosick, age 74, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born on May 22, 1952, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Earl and Beatrice (Lyman) Hosick.
Donnie was a quiet and observant man who found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time people watching, listening to country music, watching classic television shows, and playing his keyboard. He also liked visiting the park and going shopping. Though soft-spoken, Donnie appreciated the world around him and found happiness in everyday moments.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Hosick; his sister, Corinne Brookshire; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ray Hosick, Carl Hosick Sr., and Roy Hosick; and his sister, Sharon Aikn.
