Shelby began school in a one room schoolhouse (Siloam), in Southern, IL.  She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1956 and from a Business School in Kankakee, IL in 1957.

Shelby was employed at Warren G. Though a very quiet spirit, Shelby held offices in several civic and community groups and was well respected among anyone who knew her.  She served on the Residence Relations Board at Bowman Estates over the last few years and was well loved by residents and staff alike.

A special thanks to her traveling buddy, Sherry Welker.  And to the entire staff at Bowman Estates.  Their outpouring of love touched our family deeply.
