In a game that was truly years in the making, the Salem Lady Wildcats soccer team opened up game action at the new Salem Soccer Complex on South College. A big crowd was on hand to open the facility to games and see the Lady Cats shutout Metro East Lutheran 5-0. Jordan Kessler scored the first goal on the new pitch and would add another. Shelby Johnson also scored twice and Aila Laird had a goal. Kinnley Eagan had the shutout in goal.
