All three write in candidates running for Patoka School Board will be seated on the board since there were only four candidates on the ballot to fill the seven openings. Those elected on write in votes were Lucas Barnes, with 53 voted, Bill Griffin with 20 votes and Jenny Griffin with 12 votes. All seven seats were open because at the last election Patoka School District residents did away with electing candidates from specific townships.
Jered Gambill received nine write in votes for an open seat on the Sandoval School Board.
Danny Schuler will fill one of three open seats on the Selmaville School Board after receiving 15 write in votes.
Fox notes the vote tallies are lower in some cases than the number of write in votes cast because they were for other than registered write in vote candidates. Evan Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse received write in votes.
