In 4a regional championships, Alton improved to 26-6 on the season knocking off Edwardsville at Alton 55-47. Hassani Elliott had 12 for the Redbirds. Herb Martin had 22 in the loss as the Tigers season ends at 28-3. Alton will play at Collinsville next week against Quincy after they held off Belleville East at West High 57-50. Normal Community will take on Rock Island in the other semifinal.
