Salem senior Keyton King became the first Wildcat wrestler to ever advance to the state tournament as he competes in Champaign this weekend. Yesterday he also became the first Cat to win a state match in his 14-4 win over Ben Taylor of Kewanee. That moved King to 45-3 on the season and gave him 100 wins in his career, again a program first. King then dropped his second round match to Dylan Crouch of Dwight 7-4. Crouch was 5th last year in state. Keyton will compete today in the Wrestle Backs still trying to be the first SCHS Wildcat now to get to the state podium.
