Four area communities have snow route ordinances in effect banning parking on designated snow routes until the winter storm passes and the streets are plowed.
The snow route ordinances went into effect in Odin and Central City at six Saturday night and at eight Sunday morning in Salem and Centralia.
Snow routes are marked in each community. Parking on snow routes while the snow routes are in effect can result in vehicles being towed at owners expense. You are asked to park in your driveway or alley as an alternative.
