A 54-year-old Kell man was ordered held without bond pending his next appearance in Marion County Court for felony violation of an order of protection.
Judge Mark Stedelin ruled Christopher Baur should be held based on his history of violence toward this victim, the victim and third party providing statements that Baur was in contact with the protected party, and has a history of violating court orders.
The charge against Baur is a felony due to a prior conviction for violation of an order of protection.
Baur is due back in court January 21st for a preliminary hearing. A public defender has been appointed to represent him.
Baur was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on December 29th when they were called to a home on County Farm Road in Kell for an unwanted subject. Deputies then learned the occupant had an order of protection against Baur.
