At first we thought she hadn’t made it and had missed it by one spot. When the official results came in Woodlawn sophomore Zelena Koch is a 2X IHSA Sectional qualifier. She finished 23rd overall out of the 70 member field in today’s IHSA Regional at Trenton-Wesclin in 21:29, which was almost 2 minutes faster than her time she ran before at Trenton earlier in the season coming off injury. Koch advanced as the 5th individual qualifier, not on a qualifying team as grab the final ticket to the IHSA Sectional next Saturday at Benton. Dad & coach Tim Koch said, “God is Great all the time. All the Time God is Great! So proud of your fight and effort today!”
