The Salem Wildcats finished up the regular season of soccer with a 7-2 home win over Mattoon giving them a record of 17-2-and-1 on the season. Eli Baker scored 5 more goals giving him 67 on the year and 4 off the IHSA single season record of 71 set in 1976. Holden Richardson and Caleb Purintun added Salem goals. They will open up play in the 2a regionals on Friday at home against Olney starting at 3:30.
