The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that daily lane closures on Interstate 64 between 1 mile west of CH 11 to the Jefferson County line in Washington County began Monday, October 14, for pavement patching. One lane will remain open.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
The work is expected to be completed by mid-November.
