Kaskaskia College’s Department of Workforce Development and Community Education has announced a lineup of 13 courses for October 2024, offering a wide range of learning opportunities across multiple locations.

- Salem:
- Mend your Metabolism with Essential Oils (10/21, 6-8 pm): Discover how essential oils can support metabolism and health.
- Understanding Social Security and Medicare (10/22, 5-9 pm): Navigate Medicare and Social Security changes and regulations.
- Pumpkin Decorating with Succulents (10/24, 6-8 pm): Create fall pumpkin arrangements with live succulents.
- Apple iPhone (10/29-10/30, 6-8 pm): Learn to maximize your iPhone’s capabilities.
- Trenton:
- Genealogy (10/21, 2-3 pm): Learn the basics of genealogical research.
- Baking with Sourdough (10/22, 6-8 pm): Use sourdough starter to make various baked goods.
- Understanding Social Security and Medicare (10/29, 4-8 pm): Review changes and regulations in Medicare and Social Security.
- Vandalia:
- AARP Driver Safety (10/28-10/29, 8:30am-12:30 pm): Learn defensive driving skills and rules of the road.
- Nashville:
- Pumpkin Decorating with Succulents (10/22, 6-8 pm): Create fall pumpkin arrangements with live succulents.
- Baking with Sourdough (10/29, 6-8 pm): Learn to use sourdough starter in various baked goods.
- Main Campus:
- BLS Basic Life Support (10/17, 9 am-1 pm): Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Crisp Technology Center:
- AARP Driver Safety (10/22-10/23, 8:30am-12:30 pm): Learn defensive driving skills and road rules.
- Sign Language (10/22 & 10/29, 6-8 pm): Learn finger spelling, deaf culture, and everyday signs.
