The Christ Our Rock Silver Stallions XC team had some strong individual performances Thursday at The Pinckneyville Invitational.
With number 5 runner Cameron Jones out, The Stallions did some shuffling and ran Sophomores Carson Pigg, Wyatt Gregory and Freshman Jeremy Jansen in the Freshman/Sophomore race. Pigg would be the race runner up finishing 2nd in a time of 17:36. His teammate Gregory finished 7th (18:58) and both were awarded a Invitational T-Shirt for a Top 25 finish. Jansen would place 35th in the race.
In the Boys Varsity Race Senior Zerek Koch would finish in the Top 10, placing 10th in 18:45 securing a Invitational T-shirt, while his classmate Sr. Isaiah Lyons would also grab a meet T-shirt finishing 19th in 20:11. Jr. Liagel Lyons would finish 42nd (23:31) respectively.
In the Girls Varsity race Sr. Rylee Brammeier continued her strong Senior season campaign finishing 9th in 22:20.
Yesterday was a tune up meet for The Stallions heading into Saturday mornings Gateway Metro Conference Meet at Father McGivney Catholic High School in Glen Carbon, IL.
