The Centralia Orphans moved to 4-2 on the season, 2-0 in the South Seven after they dominated Marion on the road 35-13. After Marion scored to open the game it was all Centralia after that scoring the next 35 points before the Wildcats would score again. Centralia tallied 357 yards of total offense. Archie Goewey went 12-of-19 for 197 yards and 4 touchdowns. Kenny Bratton caught 7 balls for 99 yards and 2 scores, Xavier Koch caught 3 balls for 74 yards and a touchdown with Julien Martinez also getting a 20 yard TD. On the ground, senior Mike Brown carried it 30 times for 104 yards and a score and Will Stanton added 39 yards on 6 carries. The Orphans defense had 3 interceptions and the special teams unit recovered an onside kick to start the 2nd half as well as blocking a 31 yard field goal attempt. Centralia will host Cahokia for Senior Night next week.
Also in the South 7, Mount Vernon lost to Cahokia 28-0.
