“True Grit.”  Those were the words of Salem volleyball coach Nicki Brubaker describing her team’s effort in the 3rd and final set last night of their match with visiting Wesclin.  In a back and forth set that saw Wesclin take a 21-19 lead with the serve, Salem would grind away the rest of the match with some big time plays all over the court to come back and win 25-23 to improve to 14-7 on the season.  The night opened with the freshmen losing 12-21, 19-21 and the JV lost in 3 sets 26-25, 20-25, 14-15.

The Centralia Annies knocked off Marion in a South 7 matchup in straight sets.
