The South Central Lady Falcons finished 4th at the IESA State Softball Tournament held in Normal over the weekend. After an opening round win, SC made the final four where they squared off with Cambridge. SC was down 2-0 after 4 innings but Cambridge exploded for 9 runs in the 5th inning to pull away for the 11-0 victory. In the loss, Emmie Ruholl had the only SC hit. Rylan Williams was the pitcher of record.
SC then played their finale in the 3rd place game against LeRoy. SC fell 8-3 getting in a 5-0 hole after two innings. Williams doubled and Zoey Kramer added a triple. Kyndl Bolen also drove in a run along with Annie Ruholl and Alexa Gile. Annie Ruholl was the pitcher for SC. Congratulations to coach Alex Phillips and the rest of the staff and team on another great season.
