Selmaville & Willow Grove/St Mary To Square Off Today For Regional Title

In Class S, Willow Grove/St Mary won a pair of games yesterday to advance to today’s championship game.  They opened with an 18-7 win over Central City.  Raylynn Parker doubled, tripled and drove in 4 going 4-5 with 4 runs scored.  Devyn Dodillett added 3 RBI.  She was also the winning pitcher allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.

They then beat Odin 16-4.  Parker doubled twice and tripled as she went 4-4 with 4 RBI and 4 runs scored.  She also struck out 13 and walked just 1 allowing 1 hit.  Willow Grove/St Mary will take on Selmaville this afternoon for their championship.  Chelsea Haines finished the year for Odin with 122 strikeouts for her 8th grade year.

They will get Selmaville who beat Patoka 12-0.  Karmen Murray went 3-3 with 3 runs scored and drove in a run.  Alana Howe stole 4 bases, she has 54 on the season.   Allie Patrick drove in a run along with Azeemah Adenekan.  Gabby Goostree was the winning pitcher striking out 4 allowing 2 hits.  She got her 10th win of the season.  Selmaville is 19-5 and coach John Chappell is 2 wins shy of 200 in his career.
