The Lady Bobcats opened up their softball regional at home with a 14-4 win over Wesclin to advance to today’s title game at Salem. The Lady Cats were led by Teagan Lobek who went 3-4 with 4 RBI and added a double and triple. Breana Pennypacker also doubled and drove in a run. Maci Susmena and Adysen Pracht had 2 RBI each. Teryn Quinn also drove in a run. Emily Parrett earned the win striking out 10 in five innings.
Salem will play Centralia after the Lady Tigers upset Carlyle 10-2. Vayda Mullinex dominated in the circle only giving up one earned run. Delaney Snow and Mullenix had 3 hits each. Faith Padilla and Zaida Hawk also had 2 hits each.
Also in Class L at Mt Carmel, Flora beat Olney 10-0 and Carmi over the hosts 5-4. Their title game is Saturday.
In Class M, Nashville shutout Breese 10-0 and Okawville beat Woodlawn 15-5. They championship is on Monday.
