The Salem Wildcats dropped just their 2nd game of the season, but it was a big one losing to visiting Columbia last night 8-0 as the Eagles can clinch another Cahokia crown with a win over Roxana and Wood River. Salem is 10-2 and 3-1 on the year in the Conference with a game against Wood River left. The Cats are one win away from matching the school’s record for wins in a season, and can reach #11 on Friday when they travel to Carlyle.
Also in prep soccer yesterday, Mater Dei shutout Gibault 3-0, Carlyle over Wood River 5-2, Freeburg shutout Breese Central 7-0, Marion 4-1 over Centralia.
