A 48-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with aggravated battery and misdemeanor battery after allegedly striking a woman with a wooden tire thumper at a rural Salem home on Saturday.
Michael Allison of Medlin Road could face an extended term sentence if found guilty of the aggravated battery charge due to a prior felony conviction in Marion County Court.
Allison was released on pre-trial conditions which include no contact with the alleged victim or her home.
