The South Central School District 401 Lady Falcons won the IESA Sectional softball title held at Deep Rock Energy Field in Kinmundy pulling out a 3-2 victory over Dieterich who came up just short with 2 runs in their final at-bat.
Emmie Ruholl doubled going 3-3 with a run scored. Rylan Wilson and Alexa Giles also drove in runs. Kyndle Bolen singled and scored and also received the IESA Sportsmanship Award Pin for the game alongside Dieterich’s Makenzie Roedl.
Annie Ruholl was great in the circle as she went the distance striking out 5 and scattering 10 hits to send her team to state.
