The Centralia Orphans are 2-2 after defending their home turf with a 49-6 win over visiting Granite City. Mike Brown had a 75 yard kickoff return for a score early on as he finished the night with 9 carries for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns. Freshman quarterback Archie Goewey was efficient as he finished 7-of-11 for 149 yards and 4 touchdowns. Xavier Koch caught 2 of those TD’s and Kenny Bratton had the other 2. Centralia will host Carbondale for Homecoming next week.
