The Salem Lady Wildcats improved to 2-1 on the volleyball season with a road win at TTown 25-23, 25-22. The night began with the fresh/soph winning in 3 sets 21-25, 25-15, 16-14. The JV lost in 3 sets 25-21, 21-25, 20-25.
The SC Lady Cougars fell to St Anthony 25-17, 25-13 last night. Maddie Peddicord had 5 kills, Kinlee Thompson added 4 with 3 from Bailey Wodtka. Reagan Roberts had 13 assists and 10 digs. The SC JV also lost 25-19, 25-15 and the Lady Cougars fresh/soph was victorious (25-23, 25-17).
Patoka beat Sandoval 25-10, 25-8. The Lady Warriors also won the JV match 25-12, 25-22.
Also last night, Carbondale beat Carterville, Carlyle over Altamont, Columbia beat Althoff in 3 sets, Marion beat Benton and Woodlawn in 3 sets over Sesser Valier/Waltonville.
The Annies are at the Rosati Kain Tournament today in St Louis. South Central will travel to the New Athens Tournament.
Tomorrow is the Fairfield Kickoff Classic volleyball tournament with several area teams competing including North Clay, TTown, Woodlawn, Carbondale, and Mount Vernon among others.
