The Franklin Park Bobcats scored 11 times in the opening inning on their way to an 18-8 win over visiting Breese All Saints. Zane Applegate doubled twice, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3 times. Rhett Starnes also doubled and drove in 3 runs. Ben Lux had a 2 hit day and drove in 3. Also driving in Bobcats runs were Kam Rasul, Owen Tennyson, Kai Graham and Tanner Purintun. Tennyson, Graham, Dakota Gregg and Bentley Bryan pitched in the win. Salem is 3-0 and will host Carlyle today.
The South Central Falcons moved to 2-0 on the young season with their 8-0 win over CHBC. Aiden Hoover went 2-3 with 3 RBI for the Falcons. Landon Lotz doubled and drove in 2. Colton Tockstein, Isaac Guerrettaz and Nate Knutt all drove in runs. On the mound, Tockstein worked 4 innings of 1 hit ball, Lotz worked 3 no-hit innings and struck out 6. SC will head to Greenville on Wednesday.
