Centralia resident Roger Campbell has busted out of the 2024 World Series of Poker Main Event on Day 2.
Campbell survived Day 1 with 107,200 chips in the $10,000 buy in tournament. The Event is an annual one at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas with a first place price of over $10-million to the winner.
Campbell said in almost 6 hours on Day two he didn’t have one decent starting hand. The best was an ace/queen suited which was subsequently crushed on the river by a set after flopping 2 pair.
Roger told WJBD/WSIQ that he wants to thank all his supporters; it’s been a long two weeks after Campbell participated in other events as well and he is ready to be back in good ole Centralia.
