The SC Storm Chasers 16u won the Central State Spikes Showcase Tournament in Tolono going 4-1 on the weekend.
SC beat the Central State Spikes in the finals 6-2. Brody Collier had a single and RBI, Cody Beard did as well. Colton Shelton singled and scored a run. Trevan Sidwell added a run. Kaden Milleville was the winning pitcher going the distance allowing 5 hits and striking out 7.
The win not only won the title for SC, but avenged their only loss of the weekend, falling to the Spikes 11-7 on Saturday in pool play.
SC also had wins over the Marshall Arsenal 5-4, Rawlings Tigers 2-1 and Illinois Black Sox 9-1.
