The Salem 11u All Stars fell in their District Tournament opener at Olney, losing to Robinson 7-0 on Tuesday night.
Nolan Krutsinger did his job on the mound as he worked 4.2 and gave up 5 runs, none of them earned, while striking out 11 and not walking anyone. He kept the Maroons off balance all night.
Salem could not solve the puzzle that was Robinson starter Elliot Jensen who went 4 no-hit innings allowing no base runners. Salem only had 1 base runner all night, a walk to Zach Jones.
Salem returns to action tonight in Elimination play against last night’s late game winner between Mt Carmel and Lawrenceville at 7pm at Musgrove Park in Olney.
Robinson advances to the semifinals on Friday against Olney.
