Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 34-year-old Joshua Benjamin on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. Benjamin told jail officials he was homeless.
Salem Police arrested 27-year-old Matthew Harris of Iuka Road in Iuka for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Harris was taken into custody after the Salem canine alerted on a bag attached to his bicycle during a traffic stop at College and Rogers around 11 Tuesday night. The initial traffic stop was for not having a light on his bike.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to a shed in the 3300 block of Berry Road in Patoka. A lock was cut off and four tires as well as a padlock were reported missing.
