The Salem 12u All Stars season came to an end in the If Necessary game of the District 1 Tournament at Lawrenceville.
After beating Robinson 5-3 on Saturday to force the Sunday winner-take-all game, Salem fell 7-5, giving up 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth to erase their 4-2 lead. They didn’t give up and scored a run in the sixth but their comeback was shut down. Eli Purdy went 3-3 for Salem with a double. Tanner Purintun drove in 2 with a double. Devan Jennings and Dakota Gregg added RBI. Robinson advances all the way to the State Tournament to represent District 1.
