The Salem 13u Wildcats won their Fathers Day Tournament in Waltonville beating the Shells 13u in the finals 8-7. Rhett Starnes and Tripp Garden doubled in the game both driving in runs, Starnes went 3-3. Bentley Bryan drove in a run along with Owen Tennyson, Zane Applegate, Jax Schaubert and Drew Consolino. Applegate, Colton Tockstein and Tennyson pitched in the win.
Salem won their semifinal matchup Sunday over the SI Bombers 8-6. Applegate hit a home run, Aaron drove in 2 runs with doubles from Schaubert and Tennyson with the pair also combining for the win on the mound.
In pool play on Saturday, Salem beat the Semo Titans 9-3 with 3 doubles and 3 runs scored from Tennyson. Applegate, Tockstein, Schaubert and Garden drove in runs along with Consolino. Applegate and Kellen Nix were the pitchers for Salem.
The Tournament opened with a 9-3 win over the SI Bombers with Schaubert, Applegate, Starnes and Garden doubling. Applegate and Schaubert drove in 2 runs with RBI also from Tockstein, Garden and Kellen Nix. Schuabert worked 5 innings on the mound allowing 0 runs and 2 hits with 7 strikeouts. Tockstein worked one inning.
