The Marion County Sheriff’s Department says a 21-year-old rural Kell man has come forward and said he was driving a motorcycle that crashed at the Heinzmann Road and Route 161 Extension intersection in rural Kell last Sunday night.

Alex Cebulske of Charlton Road was gone from the scene when deputies arrived on the scene.  He told sheriff’s officials he had sought medical treatment.

The sheriff’s department reports Cebulske was traveling northbound on Heinzmann Road when he attempted to stop at the stop sign at the Route 161 Extension but was unable to do so because he was traveling too fast.  As a result, Cebulske missed the t-intersection, crossed the 161 extension, and crashed into the roadside ditch on the other side.

He was ticketed for no insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, and driving too fast for conditions.
