Today is the preliminary round for the IHSA 1a/2a State Track Meets held at Eastern Illinois University. Salem will be represented by 2 athletes. Senior Caleb Smith will throw in the shot and discus as he finishes up a Hall of Fame career for the Cats this weekend before heading to Indiana University to throw for the Hoosier’s next season. Also tomorrow, freshman high jumper Madden Thompson will compete.
Centralia will be represented by Arion Hill in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Leonard Bratton will compete in the triple jump.
In 1a competing today is Christ Our Rock’s Landyn Mitchell in the 110 hurdles.
